WINNIPEG — Students from Tec-Voc High School braved the cold and got into the holiday spirit Tuesday morning, hoping to fill a school bus with donations for those in need.
The students, decked out in Santa hats and school colours, will be outside the high school, located on Wall Street and Notre Dame Avenue, until 1:00 p.m.

They are collecting cash donations and non-perishable food items from passing cars, in order to fill the bus for the Christmas Cheer Board.
“Tec-Voc has also been involved in Christmas hampers, but we decided to expand this year, in order to help people all over the city,” Gordon Crook, Tec-Voc High School’s principal said. “We want to encourage people to come down to help fill that bus”
