Sargent Park School put into ‘lockdown’ Friday afternoon: Winnipeg School Division

WINNIPEG — Sargent Park School, west of downtown, was under an ordered “lockdown” according to the Winnipeg School Division.

Radean Carter, public relations officer of Winnipeg School Division said the lock down was ordered at 12:30 on Friday afternoon and ended shortly before 2 P.M.

The school division called the incident a “misunderstanding” and did not divulge further information on what led up to the lock down. It confirmed police had been called to the scene.

A parent outside the school described the incident as “no one going in, no one going out”.
