Police identify body found in Niagara Falls on weekend

TORONTO – A body found in Niagara Falls on Saturday has been identified as 21-year-old Sathiyaraj MAHENDRAN of Toronto.

Investigators from the Niagara Regional Police Service say the body was discovered by a citizen walking near the King’s Bridge Park just before 7PM.
The park has been closed since the discovery of the body and will remain so until the end of the day while investigators probe the area for evidence.

The body has been taken to Hamilton General Hospital for an autopsy and investigators are treating the death as suspicious.

Anyone with information regarding the death is asked to contact police or crimestoppers.
