‘Get better’ message in snow outside Calgary hospital goes viral

CALGARY – A photo showing an encouraging message stomped into the snow outside a Calgary hospital is gaining popularity online.

The photo posted to Instagram by nurse Anna Cruz on Sunday morning shows the phrase “get better” on the boulevard outside the Rockyview General Hospital.

Cruz tells Global News she was working with a patient in the hospital’s respiratory unit when she first saw the message.

“I told my patients ‘you have to look out the window, there’s something out there,'” said Cruz.

“Whoever did it, he cares,” added Cruz. “It’s really awesome. It really lifts up [the] spirits of our patients.”

“It shows that someone cares. It’s nice to live in a city where someone cares.”
