Canadiens goalie Carey Price out for six weeks

MONTREAL – Canadiens goalie Carey Price is out for six weeks with a lower body injury.

Price was put on the team’s injured list after playing 40 minutes against the New York Rangers on Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Mike Condon replaced him in the third period.

Coach Michel Therrien said the lower-body injury was the same one that kept Price out for nine games earlier this season.

According to the team, Price won’t require surgery.
