REGINA – The City of Regina is moving ahead with its rail yard renewal project and the public is getting its chance to have their say.

The open house is scheduled for Wednesday December 2nd at Evraz Place.

“What’s great is this is an opportunity for big thinking from the community. We’re not looking to stifle any of that creativity and in fact we’re looking to encourage it. Our process over the course of time is we’ll have to look at what’s feasible in the area. But at this stage it’s a great opportunity to talk about what’s possible,” said Brent Sjoberg, the deputy city manager.

The city says their final plans will be a ‘made in Regina’ solution but will also look to other cities like Toronto who have experienced similar rail yard renewals for ideas.
