MONTREAL – Blue collar workers held a peaceful protest Wednesday night, blocking Sherbrooke Street with 25 school buses filled with protestors.
The buses were parked downtown between Saint-Denis and Hôtel de Ville streets.

Workers are protesting negotiation tactics by Montreal Director General Alain Marcoux, as well as the use of sub-contractors by the city.
The protest followed a special meeting of about 4,000 blue collar workers at the Claude Robillard Centre.
The worker’s collective agreement is up in 2017.
