42nd annual Canadian Finals Rodeo wraps up with ‘resounding success’

EDMONTON — The 42nd edition of the Canadian Finals Rodeo is being hailed a huge success by Northlands.

The CFR and Farmfair International attracted 183,564 people over the five-day event.

Northlands said Farmfair International was particularly successful, drawing in a record 94,387 guests. Farmfair International, one of the country’s most popular agricultural shows, saw a 33 per cent increase in beef exhibitor entries over last year.

The show brought in international buyers from 20 countries to conduct business and purchase from Alberta producers.

“For 42 years, Edmontonians and our visitors have rallied behind Farmfair International and the Canadian Finals Rodeo,” said Tim Reid, president and CEO of Northlands. “The resounding success of this year’s Farmfair International is a testament to the strength of Alberta’s agriculture industry.”
