Flare-ups continue Friday after fire at Stadium Shopping Centre

CALGARY – Flames continued to flare Friday, a day after a blaze destroyed six businesses at Calgary’s Stadium Shopping Centre.

Calgary Fire Department spokesperson Carol Henke said hot spots were exposed to air, which led to more flames as equipment was moving around the debris Friday morning. Henke said the cause is still under investigation, and appealed to the public for any photos or video from the fire, that started burning at around 7 a.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of Uxbridge Drive N.W.
