A Vancouver man is being treated for minor burns after his apartment went up in flames Sunday night.
Firefighters are trying to determine the cause of the blaze in the city’s West End that started around 10 p.m.
When crews arrived they could see smoke coming out of the three-storey building on Barclay Street. The flames were quickly contained to one unit on the second floor, but there is significant damage to that apartment.
Only one of the other 16 suites has minor water damage.
Officials say it was lucky there was a fire station close by.
