FREDERICTON – A conservation officer who has been active in working with Crime Stoppers to prevent poaching and wood theft has been named New Brunswick’s wildlife officer of the year.
James Mundle was honoured during a ceremony at the legislature today.

Natural Resources Minister Bruce Northrup says Mundle’s commitment to wildlife conservation and enforcement have made him a role model for others in the department.
Mundle is a firearms range officer who helps other officers qualify to carry handguns.
Mundle is based in Richibucto has been with the department for 25 years.
