New tenant announced for former Target location at Northgate Mall

REGINA – After a swift exit from Regina’s retail landscape, Target’s former location at Northgate Mall now has a new tenant.

Home improvement retailer Lowe’s will become Northgate’s newest anchor tenant.

This will be Lowe’s second location for Regina and is expected to open sometime next year.

The mall also welcomed the grand opening of Fabricland to a throng of eager shoppers.

Westdale Properties, the owners of Northgate says that overall both announcements are good for the city.

“It’s about serving the community. And Northgate with Lowe’s, Safeway, Fabricland and our 75 other retailers are important for the community. And also important, is that Lowe’s is going to bring between 100 to 140 new jobs to Northgate,” said Mitchell Cohen, the Chief Operating Officer for Westdale Properties.
