2012 NHL Playoffs schedule released: Canucks set to play first game on Wednesday

VANCOUVER – The excitement across the hockey nation was peaking this morning as fans were waiting for the 2012 NHL playoffs schedule to be released.

The NHL’s postseason will begin on Wednesday, April 11.

That is when the Vancouver Canucks will take on the Los Angeles Kings in their first playoffs game at Rogers Arena. The team finished the pre-season by winning its second straight President’s Trophy in a game against Edmonton Saturday night.

Sunday, April 22 (TBD) – in Vancouver
Tuesday, April 24 (TBD) – in Los Angeles
