VERNON, B.C. – The historic O’Keefe Ranch is well known for its rich history. But at Halloween, that story takes a turn for the Sci-Fi, as the fields are transformed for Halloween.
More than 9,000 have already taken in the corn mazes on the first three nights of the ‘Field of Screams: The Harvest’ exhibition, surpassing previous years.
“You get the young teens, the young adults, and senior citizens all going through it,” says O’Keefe Ranch General Manager Glen Taylor. “They’re all having fun and a big smile on their face.”

More than 50 actors and 30 volunteers are choreographed by Matt Brown of BlankHead Productions.
A preview of the this year’s version of the third annual event was posted on Facebook.
The frightful corn maze is not recommended for children under 6 years of age.
Sounds coming from the corn maze, which is guarded by fake gun-toting actors clad in military garb, have reportedly been realistic.
“The first night, because of the gun fire in the sound track, the RCMP showed up,” says Taylor.
The alien inspired Halloween event continues a the O’Keefe Ranch until Oct 30, from 7-10 p.m.
