Burnaby RCMP are investigating after shots were fired in an apartment building overnight.
It happened at approximately 12:50 a.m. in the 6500-block of Sussex Ave.
Shell casings were found in the hallway and the apartment.
Police also found the door had been forced open.
The occupants fled the scene, but there’s no indication anyone had been hit by the bullets.
No damage was seen anywhere else in the building.
Burnaby police say this was not random and the occupants are known to police.
No one has been arrested.
RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance for information that may assist in this investigation.
