One man dead after construction crane incident in Vancouver

A man has apparently died at a Vancouver construction site after climbing to the top of a crane.

A technical rescue team from the Vancouver Fire Department was spotted at the site on Manitoba Street and West Second Avenue Sunday afternoon.

Global News has received reports that a man climbed to the top of the crane, fell and died at the scene.

It’s not clear what he was doing there, but witnesses say he climbed the crane to take photos.
