Melville hotel burns down for second time in two years

RCMP have a 2010 suspect in custody after a Melville building fire on Monday.

Firefighters were called to the King George Hotel around 12:40 p.m. in Melville, Saskatchewan.

Due to a flat roof construction and heavy use of tar, the fire took several hours to extinguish. Fire investigators examined the building’s remains and believe arson to be the cause.
