CALGARY – A man was fatally struck by a CTrain near Chinook Station Wednesday afternoon.
EMS said the pedestrian, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, was hit in a pedestrian crosswalk at the 6100 block of the south LRT line at about 4:30 p.m.
Calgary police and transit officials are investigating.
Calgary Transit said there were shuttle buses in place between Heritage and 39 Avenue Station following the accident.
Chinook Station was open and CTrain service had resumed as of 7 p.m. Calgary Transit said to expect delays as it worked to restore regular schedules.
