WEST KELOWNA — Conservative Dan Albas is back for a second term in the riding of Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola with 24,425 votes.
This is his second term as MP after winning the 2011 federal election by a margin of 29.4 per cent over his closest challenger the NDP.
His closest contender was Liberal Karley Scott with 23,028 votes, followed by Angelique Wood of the NDP with 11,939 votes and then Green candidate Robert Mellalieu with 2,428 votes.
The riding of Central Okanagan-Similkameen-Nicola was heavily redrawn from 2011. It used to be known as Okanagan-Coquihalla once held by Conservative Stockwell Day.

The new riding includes the Okanagan towns of Summerland, Peachland, West Kelowna, and the Mission neighbourhood of Kelowna. It also includes the smaller Similkameen towns of Princeton, Hedley and Keremeos.
The riding contains some of the heaviest concentration of seniors in the province with a median age of 48-years-old.
