Suspects at large after armed robbery at Saskatoon convenience store

SASKATOON – Police are on the lookout for two suspects after an armed robbery at a Saskatoon convenience store Tuesday. Just after 1 a.m. CT, officers were called to the 3300-block of 33rd Street West.

Investigation revealed that two men approached the store when it was locked and then produced a machete to break the glass. Upon entering the store, they stole cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene in an eastward direction on foot.

Police say a 54-year-old male employee was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspects are described as having thin builds and are approximately five-foot six. Both were wearing black jackets, black pants and disguises to cover their identities.
