Cyclists will be able to begin using the bikes April 15, the same day Montreal bike paths open.

The total number of docking stations this season will reach 411, providing a total of 8,800 docking and locking points, service operator Public Bike System Co. said in a press release.

The Bixi operator asked motorists to pay attention to signs giving 12 hours notice at locations where vehicle parking spots are about to be eliminated by the bike racks – “to avoid fines and towing.”
