Tim Miller has been covering South Carolina’s devastating floods for the last two weeks.
The heavy rainfall has resulted in 15 deaths in the state and two more in North Carolina.
So when the WIS TV meteorologist walked up to a live shot of downtown Columbia with the sun shining over it, he was overcome.
“Well how about that. Boy, I tell you…” he said throwing his hands up.
“I don’t know what to say,” he said, choking back tears.
“Sunshine! That’s amazing.”

Miller had to walk off the frame a couple of times to gather himself as he prepared to deliver the forecast. At one point he even tells himself to “get with it.”
The meteorologist told WIS TV that he “just lost it.”
“It was because all that’s going on. I know the people who are suffering. I know people who live on roads that are now gone. I see these people in the grocery store. I care about this community,” he said.
