Political Career – First elected to Commons in 2004 in Skeena-Bulkley Valley, defeating incumbent Conservative. Re-elected 2006, 2008, 2011.

Personal life – Married, two children.
For the record – “In Conservative-held ridings, before the next election I would allow local constituencies – New Democrats – to hold joint nomination meetings with Liberals and Greens. They would select a candidate under one of those banners who would take on the Conservative. And win. And then form a progressive government.” Explaining his plan to form a united front against the Conservative government.
