Halifax police looking for owner of money found on the street

HALIFAX – Halifax police are asking for help in locating the owner of a sum of money found in the area of Peter Lowe Avenue in Halifax on Tuesday.

At 11:12 a.m., police got a call that a group of children had found a sum of money in a metal box. Officers weren’t able to find any information that would identify the owner.

The owner, or anyone with information regarding the owner, is asked to contact Halifax police at 902-490-5016.

In order to claim the money, the person will have to specify the amount of money, in what denominations, and provide a further description of the metal box.
