MONTREAL – The woman in charge of selling Montreal to the world is jumping back into politics.
Dominique Anglade, CEO of Montreal International, is running in a provincial by-election in the riding of Saint-Henri-Sainte-Marie.
Anglade was President of the Coalition Avenir Quebec (CAQ) after she lost a by-election for that party in 2012.
Thursday, her former boss, CAQ leader François Legault, said he was disappointed that Anglade would be joining the Liberals.
He said Premier Philippe Couillard offered her a cabinet job, but admitted Anglade is a good and competent candidate.
