Teen, two men from Edmonton arrested for bank robberies across Canada

TORONTO – A group comprised of a 17-year-old male youth and two men from Edmonton have been arrested in Ontario in connection to a series of bank robberies across Canada, Toronto police announced on Thursday.

The arrests stem from bank robberies in the Greater Toronto Area between June 26 and July 3, 2015 in Brampton, Stoney Creek, Vaughan and Toronto.

It is also believed the group were involved in bank robberies in British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba between June 2 and June 22, 2015.

The teen and the two male suspects were arrested on July 4 by Ontario Provincial Police in Parry Sound for unrelated thefts and were later identified as the alleged perpetrators involved in a series of Canada-wide bank robberies.

The 17-year-old has been charged with four counts of robbery and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Jordan Doddridge, 21, has been charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence while 40-year-old Noel Doddridge faces one charge of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

The youth made a court appearance in Toronto on Wednesday. The two men are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 5.
