WEST KELOWNA — Emergency crews rushed to a construction site to rescue a trapped worker Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to a house under construction on Carrington Road.

Fire chief Jason Brolund says the worker became trapped after the roof truss system collapsed.

“Crews used an aerial ladder truck to access and free the patient who was lowered to the ground,” says Brolund in a news release.

His condition is not known.

RCMP and WorkSafeBC are investigating the incident.
