KELOWNA — Drumming and dancing will fill the courtyard at Okanagan College on Thursday.
It is the seventh annual Powwow, which brings together Aboriginal students and community members from across the region.

Richard Jackson Jr. of the Westbank First Nation will be the emcee of the event. He has more than 40 years of knowledge and experience in directing Powwows.
There will also be drumming from Birch Creek and Iron Mountain. Dancers will perform in categories of traditional, fancy, grass and jingle.
The event takes place from 10:15 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Kelowna campus.
