HALIFAX – Police in Halifax say a wanted man who failed to appear in court last week on assault charges is back in the Nova Scotia city after being tracked down in Toronto.
Cody Charles Lemoine was taken into custody without incident Saturday in Toronto on an outstanding warrant.
Police say the 23-year-old was returned to Halifax on Tuesday.
He faces one count of failing to attend court, six counts of breach of recognizance, four counts of breach of peace bond, and two counts of breach of probation.
Lemoine was expected in provincial court last week in connection with an alleged assault June 26 in Dartmouth, but he didn’t show up.
