Police say they are still looking for suspects. The Winnipeg School Division says it doesn’t believe the persons responsible were students at the school.
Spokesperson Radean Carter says the school was locked down for 45 minutes and parents will get a letter today.
“Just to make sure that they not only know what happened, but also if any student may have gotten a little whiff of the bear mace and it affects them in any way, what they should do in that case,” she said.
Carter says the school has surveillance video of the incident and have turned it over to police.
