Voting open in federal election at Elections Canada offices

The federal election is more than a month away, but you don’t have to wait until the advance polls open to cast your ballot.

Canadians can now vote at any one of 400 Elections Canada offices across the country seven days a week.

The offices are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4:00 p.m.  You are required to bring proof of your identity and address.

Canadians can also vote at advance polling stations for four days before the October 19 election :

  • Friday, October 9
  • Saturday, October 10
  • Sunday, October 11
  • Monday, October 12
