Nineteen of the province’s 57 campgrounds are open until Thanksgiving, which is October 12th this year. They include Birds Hill, Winnipeg Beach, West Hawk Lake and Big Whiteshell.

The updated list of campground operating dates can be found on the province’s website.

“The level of services available will vary by location, and campers should be prepared to bring their own drinking water and firewood,” the province said in a news release.

The province also noted that provincial park entry will be free on the Labour Day weekend.
