WATCH ABOVE: One man is in hospital with gunshot wounds after an attempted robbery at a bar in NDG. Kelly Greig reports
MONTREAL – An attempted murder early Friday morning in NDG has left one man in hospital.
A man walked into the Liquid Lounge on Sherbrooke Street shortly after midnight and shot a 26-year-old employee in the lower body.
The victim was taken to hospital and police do not fear for his life.
“The suspect left the scene by foot in an unknown direction, so that’s why we don’t have much information,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant with Montreal police.
Police said they are looking at surveillance footage and are speaking to witnesses.
Liquid Lounge has seen its fair share of incidents over the last year.
It was the site of a shooting back in March and there was a suspected arson attack last year.
