Montreal police arrest one of Quebec’s most wanted

MONTREAL – Raynald Létourneau, 46, appeared in Quebec court Tuesday for the murder of girlfriend Charlie Cecilia Garcia Larez.

He was charged with first degree murder and indignity to a body after Larez was found dead inside her Côte-Des-Neiges apartment.

Létourneau was on the list of Quebec’s ten most wanted criminals and was the target of a Canada-wide search.

Police arrested him Monday night in Pointe-aux-Trembles.

Larez was pregnant and had recently immigrated to Canada in the hopes of supporting her family in Venezuela.
