Turkey introduces symbol for its national currency: a double-crossed ‘t’

ANKARA, Turkey – Turkey has introduced a symbol for its national currency, the Turkish lira, in a move that reflects the country’s ambitious aspirations to become a global actor.

The symbol, a double-crossed “t” shaped like an anchor, was revealed in a ceremony on Thursday.
