Flag person injured in Saskatchewan construction zone crash

PARADISE HILL, Sask. – A crash in a Saskatchewan construction zone has sent two people to hospital, including a flag person. It happened Wednesday evening on Highway 3 near Paradise Hills.

Mounties say a car was stopped in the construction zone just after 9 p.m. near the intersection of highways 3 and 26 when it was rear-ended by a truck.

The flag person, a 17-year-old male, and the driver of the car were taken to hospital with unknown injuries. There is no word on their current condition.

Investigators are trying to determine with what or how the flag person was hit.

Traffic was restricted in the area while police carried out their investigation into the cause of the crash.

Mounties say it was rainy and the road was wet at the time but have not yet determined if that was a factor in the collision.

No charges have been laid.
