Toronto-based drag queens Michelle Ross, Ivory Towers and Tynomi Banks were asked to take part in the ceremony as a tribute to Hyndman. “Yesterday we got together to celebrate Christopher Hyndman. Celebrating a life with love, laughter and fabulousness. It was an honour to be invited to be among such an amazing group of people,” Ross posted on Facebook.

On Tuesday, Hyndman’s support of the LGBTQ community was remembered in an obituary posted on the “Steven and Chris” Facebook page.
“Christopher was always seeking to understand better, the complexities of our human existence,” the touching message read. “Nothing gave him greater pleasure than knowing he had, in some way, shifted someone’s life for the better, changed a rigid point of view, or showed a struggling teenager in some remote town somewhere in Canada, that being LGBTQ was cause for celebration and pride.”
