Summary: A riding significantly shrunk through redistribution, Brampton West will elect a new MP in 2015. The current MP, Conservative Kyle Seeback, is running in the new riding of Brampton South.
Boundaries: All of northwestern Brampton west of McLaughlin Road and north of Queen Street. Some neighbourhoods to the immediate east of McLaughlin are also included north of Williams Parkway.
Last Election: In 2011, Conservative Kyle Seeback earned 44.75 per cent of the vote, to defeat Liberal MP Andrew Kania, who earned 34.97 per cent. Within these new boundaries, it would have been a tighter race, with 42.0 per cent of votes going to the Conservatives, and 36.1 per cent for the Liberals.

History: Prior to last election, Brampton had solely elected Liberal MPs since 1993. However, last election, the Conservatives won all three seats.
Demographics: There is an average of 1.5 children per household in this riding, second highest in Ontario. The median income of $31,613 is the highest of Brampton’s five ridings.
