Blue Jays resale prices top $10K a seat for sold out Yankees series

TORONTO – Toronto Blue Jays home game tickets are currently fetching absurd prices on the resale market thanks to a flurry of blockbuster trades and the team riding an eight-game winning streak.

Online ticket reseller StubHub is selling single game tickets for the sold-out weekend series against the New York Yankees for as much as $11,701.

Just to give you an idea, the same infield level ticket prices range between $60 to $70 for a game against the same Yankees on Monday, Sept. 21.

It’s not uncommon for resellers to use online websites like StubHub to make a small fortune for high-demand games such as these.

However, the upcoming three-game series against the Oakland Athletics seems like a bargain with the highest infield level seating price topping at $2,927 on Thursday.

Buzz surrounding this year’s edition of the Blue Jays is hitting a fever pitch after the club announced the additions of all-stars Troy Tulowitzki and David Price on the trade deadline.
