UPDATE: Death of man found near Wascana Lake deemed non-criminal

REGINA – Police released more details on the man who’s body was found near Wascana Lake on Monday afternoon.

The Regina Police Service said the 44-year-old was from B.C but had recently been living in Fort Qu’Appelle.

Officers added he’d been reported missing earlier in the month and have since notified his next of kin.

Officers cordoned off a section of the north shore, near the south end of Willow Island, around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Police determined there was no criminal aspect to the case and have closed their investigation.
