Summary: This is a new riding, east of Calgary. There is no incumbent running here, so voters will send a new MP to Ottawa.
Boundaries: This new riding was created by combining pieces of the ridings of Crowfoot, Medicine Hat, and Macleod. Communities in this riding include Strathmore, Bassano, Brooks, Vulcan, Vauxhall and Taber.
Last Election: If this riding existed in 2011, the Conservatives would have earned 83.4 per cent of the vote, followed by the NDP with 8.2 per cent.
History: This area has elected MP’s from the political right with large majorities for decades.
