Okanagan Falls ice cream shop damaged overnight

OKANAGAN FALLS – A well know ice cream parlor and gift shop in Okanagan Falls was damaged overnight. One of the owners of Tickleberry’s says a neighbour witnessed someone ramming an SUV into the side of the shop early this morning.

Owner Kelsey Hoy believes whoever did the damage was trying to target the business’ safe but was scared off by an alarm. The safe was not taken.

While security cameras caught two men in masks walking near the business around 4:20 a.m., none of the destruction was caught on tape.

One of the walls near the back of the gift shop was smashed-in. However, the store is still open today.

Hoy says she will be stepping up security as a result of the incident.
