WINNIPEG – A male resident was rushed to hospital in critical condition after a fire started in a west end home Sunday morning.
Fire crews responded to the 500 block of Furby Street at about 2:00 a.m. and found the blaze in the second floor suite and attic.
Several residents self evacuated the house with no report of injuries. The injured male was taken by paramedics to the Health Sciences Centre.
Three firefighters also received minor injuries from the blaze but did not go to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
