A 21-year-old Dawson Creek man is dead after a multi-vehicle collision northeast of Edmonton on Saturday afternoon.
The three vehicle collision happened just before 1 p.m. on Township Road 721, just east of Beaverlodge. The 21-year-old driver of a westbound car collided with an eastbound pickup truck and SUV, but police aren’t sure what happened next.
“We don’t know how the vehicles actually collided,” said RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. Carol McKinley, who said road conditions and weather are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The driver of the SUV wasn’t seriously hurt. A 52-year-old passenger of the pickup truck was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Collision teams are investigating the cause of the collision.
Beaverlodge is 500 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
