POINTE-CLAIRE – Storm drains, water mains and roads are all being redone in Pointe-Claire as part of a $14 million blitz set to last until November.
Workers are laying down new asphalt on five areas, according to city spokesperson Marie-Pier Paquette-Séguin.
Those spots are Leacock, Columbus, De l’Eglise, Chester, Lucerne and Tecumseh avenues.

In some places, the work was necessary enough that people near the sites told Global News they’re grateful – even if that means road blocks and detours.

The city has said it will also work to fix the water mains beneath a dozen other streets, as well as renovate parks, bike paths and the lakeshore.
