With so many events in and around Toronto, it’s hard to keep track of what’s happening and what’s worth venturing out for. Here are five things we recommend doing in the city this weekend.

Watch the CN Tower ‘explode’ (again)

The Pan Am Games wrap up Sunday and if you missed the great fireworks display off the CN Tower during the opening ceremony you can watch them do it again during the closing ceremony. Unfortunately, if you’re inside the Rogers Centre for the Kanye West, Pitbull and Serena Ryder concert you’ll probably miss them.

Enjoy some golf action

If you don’t already know the RBC Canadian Open is underway at Glen Abbey in Oakville then you must not be a golf fan. Running until Sunday, the Canadian Open is one of the largest golf tournaments on the PGA Tour and offers fans the chance to see the likes of Canadian stars Graham DeLaet (DeLaet dropped out of the tournament shortly after this article was posted) and Adam Hadwin play, as well as international players like Bubba Watson and Jason Day. If you can’t make it out to the tournament in person you can watch it on Global TV Saturday and Sunday and follow along on Globalnews.ca. Rock out to some classic local bands

As part of the Ontario Celebration Zone during the Pan Am Games, Toronto rockers Skydiggers play a free show at the Harbourfront Centre Friday at 8:30 p.m. They’re sure to give us everything we ever wanted, plus a penny more. Not to be outdone (or maybe because they need a new pair of shoes), the Lowest of the Low are getting back on stage Sunday at the Exhibition Place Bandshell Park during Toronto’s Festival Of Beer. Tickets to the fest, which includes the concert, range from $30 to $79.50 and can be purchased in advance online at beerfestival.ca. Don’t know who these bands are? Here’s a sample:

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Check out some retro bikes

Whether you own a vintage bike or are just a fan of them, the 2015 Toronto Vintage Bicycle Show is sure to please. Taking place at Trinity-Bellwoods Park between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, the free event encourages people to shine up their retro rides and bring them out to show off. If that’s not enough of a sales pitch, watch the video they produced from the 2014 show below to see how much fun it’s going to be.

Flip a table

If you ever felt the urge to flip a table full of stuff you can now pay to do so at Ye Olde Dandy’s (617 Gerard Street East). While $10 gives you a table of unbreakable items to flip, if you pony up $20 you can flip a table of breakable items or items you bring yourself. Ye Olde Dandy’s also has “mystery rooms” which consist of puzzles you and a group of people need to figure out in order to escape from. For more info on Ye Olde Dandy’s, visit yeoldedandys.com.

Ongoing events in the city include Summerlicious, the Beaches International Jazz Festival, the exhibit Andy Warhol Revisited: A Mirror For Today and a bunch of outdoor movie screenings.
