MONTREAL – Michel Doyon has been named the new Lieutenant Governor of Quebec by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
Doyon is the former head of the Quebec Bar Association and holds a doctorate in History.
He was appointed Queen’s Counsel and previously served as the honorary Colonel of Number 3 wing Bagotville.
He practiced law at Gagné Letarte for more than 30 years with extensive experience in business law and commercial arbitration.
Doyon replaces Pierre Duchesne, who has served as Quebec’s vice-regal representative since 2007.
