One man received a minor injury to his arm; the second dog survived.

RCMP and CP Rail Police are investigating and said charges could be laid against the men. Police said they could be fined up to $2,000 or face six months in jail under the Trespass Act.

The incident comes two days after a woman in her mid-20s was hit and killed by an eastbound train while walking along the tracks. Police are waiting for video from the train to confirm if she was wearing headphones when she was struck, as a pair was found nearby.
