The lone suspect in disappearance of an elderly St. Albert couple has been denied bail on unrelated charges.
Travis Vader will stay in jail while awaiting a trial on property related offences.
The 39 year old was named a suspect in the disappearance of Lyle and Marie McCann.
The couple disappeared 18 months ago. McCann family were in the courtroom for the bail announcement and were pleased with the outcome.
“The man is a dangerous individual and he just totally ignores the legal system,” says Lyle and Marie’s son Brett McCann, “So I’m relieved that he’s staying behind bars.”
The McCann family regularly meets with RCMP and remain hopeful that they’ll find answers to the unsolved case
