Police say information is provided to send payments by wiring money or sending pre-paid debit or credit cards, and that people are told to pay right away to avoid fines or outstanding warrants – and even arrest.

Police say if anyone is told they have to provide the CRA with personal information or payment immediately it’s a scam.
